Understanding Worship
Worship is a way of life. Deuteronomy 6:4-5 says we are to love the Lord with all we are (our heart, soul, mind and body). By doing this, we are honoring Christ as our superior. The definition of worship, according to Strongs Concordance is to bow down before a superior, before God in worship. Anything less is not biblical worship. I Corinthians 10:31 says, Whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. This means that whatever we do the most common of activities, should bring glory and honor to God. We should worship God every day, not just on Sundays at church. It also involves more than just singing and attending. Dwayne Moore states, It involves everything we do and think and are. It means loving God with every breath we take and every move we make. Rick Warren says, Worship is simply bringing pleasure to God. Worship the Lord as you read Psalm 103 and thank Him for His goodness to you.
